Defining title block area in print template

The Background tool is used to define the title block area in a print template. The background appears as a white filled rectangle and is placed after the title block of your print template has been created to secure that no objects will print in this area.

To define the title block area using the Background tool, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Drawing 3D component tab.

  2. Under Print Tools, select the Background tool and click it into position in the top-left corner of the created title block.

  3. Stretch the white filled rectangle to the desired width and click.

  4. Continue stretching to adjust the depth and click to finally place the background. You have now defined the title block area of the print template and can proceed to the Print template properties to create the final print template.

Note: It is recommended that you add the background tool as the last thing you do when you create a print template. This will make it easier to select the contents of the template frame while still working with it.
