About navigating

The toolbars above the 2D and 3D views (see Figures 1 and 2 below) in CET Designer contains a number of features which make it easier to zoom, navigate and maneuver objects in the two views. When you move the mouse pointer on an icon, a short text describing its function appears.

The first five buttons are the same in both views. These make it possible to:

  1. Zoom in Selected Object

  2. Zoom in Selected Group

  3. Zoom in All Objects

  4. Zoom in gradually on the drawing area (plus sign).

  5. Zoom out gradually on the drawing area (minus sign).

The navigation icon, Automatic Camera Motion to Selected Object (see Figure 3), is also found above both the 2D and 3D views.

Note:

  • If you'd like more space in the drawing area without changing the scale, you can easily move the entire drawing area. Click and hold on an empty space in the drawing area, and move in the desired direction. In the 2D view this feature is called Pan, and in 3D view Pan Camera.

  • Besides selecting your commonly used commands from the toolbar, you can also right-click and get several of them from the popup menu that appears.
