View jumping

When you are working with a big drawing, you might often work with a special area or zooming view of the drawing. To make the zooming and panning easier, you can connect a view to a special key binding. This makes it easy to return to the same view. You can connect four different views to different shortcuts.

To connect a view to a key combination, follow the steps below:

  1. Zoom in the area of the drawing you would like to connect to the shortcut.

  2. Press Ctrl + 1, the view is now connected to that shortcut.

  3. Change view and press Ctrl + 2, the second view is now connected to that key combination.

  4. Continue the same way till you have saved all desired views (maximum four views).

When you wish to return to view 1, press Alt + 1, when you wish to return to view 2, press Alt + 2 and so on.

Example:

Original view

 Save: Ctrl + 1                             View: Alt +1

 Save: Ctrl + 2                            View: Alt + 2

Note:

  • Ctrl + 1, Ctrl + 2,  Ctrl + 3 and Ctrl + 4 is the default key combinations for saving views.

  • Alt + 1, Alt + 2, Alt + 3 and Alt + 4 is the default key combinations for returning to saved views.
